INBOUND: Au Pair in German

Our highly successful long running programme offers the candidate the opportunity to develop their linguistic skills in, and experience the German Culture.
Each placement is strategically and carefully matched to meet the requirements and preferences of the Au Pair. Placements usually take about 1, 2 tilll 4 weeks depending on when the applicants wish to start their stay and the wishes of the families. If you are not flexible with the number and the age of the kids you want to take care of, as you don’t want to consider also rural areas, then the placement can also take longer.

Your chances of being successfully and fast placed increase if you agree to go to a smaller town or rural areas and if you agree to care also for babies and younger children.

Our Au Pair Programme in Germany provides:

• Full board, lodging, health insurance by the host family (own room or flat in the house of the host family)
• Min. 65 Euro pocket money per week for 30 hours work  
• minimum 1 day off in the week and minimum 1 weekend free per month,
• for every worked month the Au Pair will get 2 days holiday
• Welcome call to the Au Pair with information about the local area as well as contact names of au pairs in the area, as well as meetings if and when they occur.
• Continuous support and information for the Au Pair for the duration of her, his placement including replacement to a new Family if necessary. During the Au-pair-time, we offer the Au-pairs not only support, but also the possibility, to take part of different programs (e.g. trips, Au-pair-seminars, etc.).

The placement is for the Applicants completely free of charge

AU PAIR CANDIDATE SELECTION FACTORS:

• Age: between 18 and 24
• single without own children
• basic German knowledge
• childcare experience
• household experience
• a clear certificate of good conduit
• free for any serious or contagious diseases
• any other abilities like: driving licence, another foreign language etc. are very helpfully for a very fast and successfully   placement

MINIMUM LENGTH OF PROGRAMS OFFERED: minimum 6 months, maximal 12 month

We require the following documents from each applicant:

• completed application form - here you can apply online or you can download/print the application form as pdf-Datei or as word-Datei
• 'Dear family' letter giving details on family members, studies, work experience, childcare experience, hobbies etc.
• reference about the German knowledge of the applicant (German Language Certificate, References from school or different German language courses, etc). * Applicants from visa countries must have a German language certificate from Goethe Institute in their home country or to prove that they learned minimum 170 German language hours
• a minimum of 2 references - at least one should be childcare. These should be written on individual sheets of paper and give details on how the referee knows the applicant, when they worked for them, ages of children, duties etc. The more information they can provide the better. • medical certificate - the au pairs do not require a full medical. They can provide a letter from their Doctor stating that they are fit and healthy and able to work with children and that they do not have any serious medical complaints. • 2-5 photographs with the au pairs and their family, friends, children, pets etc.
• a copy of the passport and driving license (if the applicant has one)
• certificate of good conduit

All documents must be wrote/translated on German language.
Once we have received this information, we prove this and then we take your application on our au pair web gallery. On our website - au pair Gallery you have the possibility to see how often your application has been seen and also when a host family want to contact you.

When a family decide to invite you, we will let you know and we send you detailed application form, a letter and some photographs of the family. If you like the family, you will have contact with them by phone and by mail and you can and should change a lot of information with your host family. In the mean time, we and the family are making your invitation papers (au pair contract) ready, - * only for applicants coming from visa countries - so you can apply for visa by the German embassy in your home country immediately you receive this from us .

By visa apply you will have an interview on German language with the consul and you must be able to have a basic conversation on German, while you are able give information about you and your host family, about your motivation to come as an au pair to Germany and also to answer other simple questions too. Some German embassies accept applicants for au pair visa in Germany only if the applicant has the German language certificate from Goethe Institute in their home country "Start Deutsch 1". Aufenthalts- und Arbeitsgenehmigungsbestimmungen

• Au Pairs aus Nicht-EU-/EWR-Staaten (mit Ausnahme der Schweiz)

Es wird ein Aufenthaltstitel (Visum/Aufenthaltserlaubnis) benötigt. Der Aufenthaltstitel muss vor der Ausreise bei der zuständigen deutschen Auslandsvertretung (das ist die Botschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland oder ein regional zuständiges Konsulat) in Form eines Visums beantragt werden.* Das Visum bedarf der vorherigen Zustimmung der für den Wohnort der Gastfamilie zuständigen Ausländerbehörde und der Agentur für Arbeit. Bei Beantragung des Visums darf man noch nicht 25 Jahre alt sein. Das Visum sollte zur Vermeidung von Schwierigkeiten so rechtzeitig beantragt werden, dass diese Altersgrenze bis zur Entscheidung der Ausländerbehörde nicht überschritten wird. Der Beginn der Beschäftigung laut Au Pair Vertrag darf jedoch nicht später als 6 Monate nach Beantragung des Visums liegen.

Die Aufenthaltserlaubnis wird auf Antrag von der örtlich zuständigen Ausländerbehörde erteilt. Sie setzt das Vorhandensein einer Zustimmung der Agentur für Arbeit voraus. Die Aufenthaltserlaubnis muss nach Ablauf des Visums bei der zuständigen Ausländerbehörde eingeholt werden. Die Au Pair- Beschäftigung darf erst nach der Erteilung des Aufenthaltstitels (Visum/Aufenthaltserlaubnis), der ausdrücklich die Aufnahme einer Au Pair- Beschäftigung erlaubt, aufgenommen werden. Für die Einreise und für die Dauer des vorgesehenen Aufenthalts ist ein gültiger Reisepass des Herkunftslandes erforderlich.

• Au Pairs aus den EU- Mitgliedstaaten Estland, Lettland, Litauen, Polen, Slowakei, Slowenien,   Tschechei und Ungarn

Zur Einreise ist nur ein gültiger Personalausweis erforderlich. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch (für den Fall eines Verlustes des Personalausweises), auch den Reisepass mitzunehmen. Nach der Einreise muss bei der in Deutschland örtlich zuständigen Agentur für Arbeit eine Arbeitserlaubnis-EU beantragt werden. Erst nach Erteilung dieser Erlaubnis darf die Au Pair-
Beschäftigung aufgenommen werden. Von der örtlich zuständigen Melde- bzw. Ausländerbehörde wird von Amts wegen eine Bescheinigung über das Aufenthaltsrecht ausgestellt.

• Au Pairs aus anderen EU-/EWR-Mitgliedstaaten sowie aus der Schweiz

Zur Einreise ist nur ein gültiger Personalausweis notwendig. Es empfiehlt sich jedoch (für den Fall eines Verlustes des Personalausweises), auch den Reisepass mitzunehmen. Von der in Deutschland örtlich zuständigen Melde- bzw. Ausländerbehörde wird von Amts wegen eine Bescheinigung über das Aufenthaltsrecht ausgestellt. Eine Arbeitserlaubnis-EU ist nicht erforderlich.

* Angehörige bestimmter Staaten (z. B. USA) können ohne Visum einreisen. Bitte erkundigen Sie sich bei der Deutschen Botschaft bzw. dem Deutschen Konsulat.
